Is this tasty?: Fruitables

I saw the TV CM of this the other day. I do not think this is good.
It is just fruit juice and does not feel vegetables.
There are 4 flavors and none of them are good.
I always buy something new at Costco and they are good most of the time. But this is not like that.

Ama-ebi head?

I was reading some comments from users. This is not my restaurant.
They ordered Sweet Shrimp, Ama-ebi. And they complained that they did not get fried head.
And they asked the waitress. The waitress said that if they did not ask, they could not get.
I think this right. But this customer did not happy and said that ama-ebi with fried head was normal things.

I think if they need, they need ask. Some people want it, but some people do not want it.
We cannot make fried head automatically. It is waste of time and get oil dirty.

Is this good?: Chilean Pink Lady

I do my Japanese blog same way {Is this tasty?}. And I do more in English blog.

This is Pink Lady from Chile. I like Pink Lady apple.
Costco used to sell it from WA. But this one is from Chile.
It is bad. Don't buy this. Chilean grape was good before.
Also, I can say same thing about orange.
CA Orange is good for eat. But South Africa orange is not tasty.

My dog's birthday

Chelsea becomes 5 years old today.
She still behaves like a baby.

A visitor from Japan

I had a visitor from Japan yesterday.
We used to work together at SOTO.
She left US in 1997 and came back in 13 years.
Look at this cute tenugui, Japanese hand towel.
She is from Nara and the picture is Daibutsu, Budda.
I believe Nara has the biggest sitting Budda in the world.
We have a standing Budda in Saitama, near by Tokyo and this one is the biggest Budda.
Nara is just welcoming 1300 years of history. Nara was a capitol of Japan before. Then it moved to Kyoto. Kyoto is well known in the world. Nara is 100-200 years older than Kyoto, maybe.

Is this good? Beef skewers

I bought this at Costco. They also sell Korean BBQ meat, blugogi.
I tried Bulgogi before and was not bad.
This pack comes with 4 beef skewers.
I feel bulgogi pack has more meat.
And they use same beef. So my opinion is OK, not bad.
It is $12.99.

Now, we serve Ankimo, monk fish pate.

We just started to serve ankimo, monk fish liver pate.
Our supplier carries almost year around. But I only serve autumn and winter.
Ankimo is winter dish. Or it was winter dish.
The picture is just made.
It is easy to make.
1, cure with sea salt.
2, wash with sake.
3, steam
4, cool down and eat.

Matsutake Mushroom, frozen

I bought matsutake mushroom from Japan.
The fresh one is coming soon hopefully but not yet.
I will make takikomi gohan, cooked rice with this mushroom for tomorrow lunch special.

From Our Lunch Menu

This is our Lunch special, Kajima A.
The name of Kajima comes from Kajima Construction, the leading general construction company in Japan.
Their office is located on Piedmont Ave. They have 18 Japanese workers and come to Taka often.
So, I make something good bento style lunch for them.
This picture is for autumn.
The steamed rice is not white. It is cooked with dashi soy sauce and hijiki seaweed, vegetables. It is called takikomi gohan.
I see some Americans sprinkle soy sauce over the steamed rice. The amount of soy sauce is not small. I feel I cannot eat such a kind of soy sauced rice because it is too salty.
But if those people eat this takikomi gohan, they can reduce sodium.
I make this type of dishes at least 2 times a week. Make Americans more healthy.

With Tommy Thayer, KISS

Tommy Thayer came to TAKA on Wednesday.
He is not the original member of KISS.
The original member was Ace Frehley.
